Over the years, I’ve bought patio furniture covers from a variety of sources – Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, etc. Generally I’ve shopped on price and had mixed results. The covers fit – more or less – but none of the covers I’ve bought has ever lasted more than one season. Plus, some have lasted less – they’ve cracked and ripped, allowing the elements, animals and dirt to attack my outdoor furniture. So, if you think about it, over the years I’ve spent WAY more than if I had just invested in good quality covers to begin with!

That great, luxury outdoor patio furniture is designed for weather and will last for years. But, without a weatherproof cover, your furniture will require more maintenance and cleaning. Fade-resistant Sunbrella fabrics protect your investment from water and all kinds of weather. And because it’s woven, Sunbrella breathes, so it doesn’t trap heat and moisture like vinyl. Vinyl can mildew, but Sunbrella looks great season after season.

Bottom line – Good covers will protect your patio furniture, keep it looking new and help it to last longer still.

Although it is depressingly dark and 10:17 at night, I’m hard at work updating the site, adding new products and getting our backyard, porch and patio ready for winter. Everything is finally clean and ready to be covered. We have some great outdoor furniture covers in the shop. They keep everything clean and neat. I’ve decided to upgrade my patio chair cushions next spring so I got rid of a bunch of the old ones.

This summer was such a bust in terms of the garden. I think we got three cherry tomatoes and 2 cucumbers. The slugs had a field day with my tomatoes, zucchini, pumpkins and melons. I’m thinking about putting some garlic in to winter over in the garden, I haven’t tried that before but I know people who’ve had success. I’m also trying to figure out how to keep my herbs over the winter…we had a dismal garden this year because of all of the rain. The cilantro, thyme and tarragon are about all that survived.
